1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using FFL Bridge ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use our Service.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on our website. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

2. Description of Service

FFL Bridge provides an API service that enables firearms e-commerce businesses to search for and display Federal Firearms License (FFL) dealer information to their customers. The Service includes:

  • REST API for searching FFL dealers by location
  • Embeddable widget for websites
  • Dashboard for managing API keys and monitoring usage
  • FFL dealer database sourced from ATF public records

3. Account Registration

To use our Service, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials and API keys
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
  • Be responsible for all activities that occur under your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent activity.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
  • Resell, redistribute, or sublicense the Service without authorization
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
  • Circumvent rate limits or usage restrictions
  • Use automated tools to scrape or bulk download data beyond API limits
  • Share API keys with unauthorized third parties
  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation
  • Use the Service to facilitate illegal firearms transactions
  • Store or cache FFL data beyond what is necessary for immediate display

5. API Usage and Rate Limits

Your use of the API is subject to the rate limits and quotas associated with your subscription plan:

  • Starter: 1,000 API requests per month
  • Pro: 10,000 API requests per month
  • Business: 50,000 API requests per month
  • Enterprise: Custom limits as specified in your agreement

Exceeding your plan limits may result in overage charges or service throttling. We reserve the right to modify rate limits with reasonable notice.

6. Payment Terms

6.1 Billing: Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance. You authorize us to charge your payment method for all fees incurred.

6.2 Free Trial: New accounts receive a 14-day free trial. No credit card is required during the trial period.

6.3 Refunds: Subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by law. You may cancel your subscription at any time, and it will remain active until the end of the current billing period.

6.4 Price Changes: We may change our prices with 30 days notice. Price changes will take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Our Property: The Service, including its design, features, and content (excluding FFL data from public sources), is owned by FFL Bridge and protected by intellectual property laws.

7.2 FFL Data: FFL dealer information is derived from publicly available ATF records. We do not claim ownership of this public data.

7.3 License: Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for your internal business purposes.

8. Data Accuracy Disclaimer

FFL dealer information is sourced from ATF public records and updated periodically. We make reasonable efforts to maintain accurate data, but we do not guarantee:

  • The accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of FFL information
  • That all active FFLs are included in our database
  • That license status, contact information, or transfer fees are current

You are responsible for verifying FFL credentials directly with dealers before shipping firearms.

9. Compliance with Firearms Laws

You acknowledge that the sale and transfer of firearms is heavily regulated. By using our Service, you agree to:

  • Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local firearms laws
  • Verify the validity of FFL licenses before shipping firearms
  • Maintain required records as mandated by ATF regulations
  • Not use the Service to facilitate illegal firearms transfers

FFL Bridge is a technology provider and is not responsible for ensuring your compliance with firearms regulations.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • MERCHANTABILITY
  • FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
  • NON-INFRINGEMENT
  • ACCURACY OR RELIABILITY OF DATA
  • UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FFL BRIDGE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities
  • Damages arising from your use or inability to use the Service
  • Damages arising from inaccurate FFL data
  • Damages arising from unauthorized access to your account

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless FFL Bridge and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or violation of any law or third-party rights.

13. Termination

13.1 By You: You may terminate your account at any time through your dashboard or by contacting us.

13.2 By Us: We may suspend or terminate your account immediately for violation of these Terms, non-payment, or at our discretion with 30 days notice.

13.3 Effect of Termination: Upon termination, your access to the Service will cease, and we may delete your account data after a reasonable retention period.

14. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Volusia County, Florida, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property violations.

15. General Provisions

15.1 Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and FFL Bridge regarding the Service.

15.2 Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.

15.3 Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right does not waive our ability to enforce it later.

15.4 Assignment: You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign our rights and obligations freely.
