WooCommerce FFL plugin comparison

FFL Bridge vs Automatic FFL vs g-FFL vs FFL Checkout by TTG vs CloudFFL for WooCommerce

Last checked: October 17, 2026. Published by FFL Bridge, which is one of the products compared. We have tried to be fair: every fact below links to the vendor's own public page, and where a vendor does not say something publicly, we say so. Spot an error? TL;DR

All five tools add an FFL dealer selection step to WooCommerce checkout, and all five say they support both classic checkout and the WooCommerce Checkout Block. As of October 17, 2026, the clearest differences are price model, platforms and track record. FFL Bridge is the only one with a published $0 ongoing plan (100 API calls per day) and also offers a REST API and embeddable widget, but it is WooCommerce-only for plugins and is not yet listed on WordPress.org. Automatic FFL ($99/month per site) covers the most platforms. g-FFL Checkout ($15.99/month) has the largest WordPress.org install base of the five (700+). FFL Checkout by TTG is a flat $99.90 per site per year. CloudFFL is $29/month for 100,000 API calls with its plugins included.

A note on pricing models

The five products meter differently, so compare against your own traffic rather than the headline number. FFL Bridge allowances are per day, CloudFFL's is per month, TTG is flat per site per year, and Automatic FFL and g-FFL are flat per month. [S1][S22][S20][S11][S19]

Which should you choose?

  • You want to start at $0 or run a low-volume WooCommerce store: FFL Bridge's Free plan includes server API access and the browser widget at 100 calls per day with no card. [S1] Check that 100 calls a day fits your traffic.
  • You want one account for a WooCommerce plugin, a REST API and an embeddable widget: FFL Bridge offers all three. [S5][S6] CloudFFL offers a plugin and a REST API. [S22]
  • You sell on BigCommerce, Magento/Adobe Commerce or OroCommerce as well as WooCommerce: Automatic FFL lists the broadest platform coverage; g-FFL Checkout and CloudFFL also offer BigCommerce. [S11][S18][S26] FFL Bridge does not have a BigCommerce or Shopify app today.
  • You sell on Shopify: none of these five offers a Shopify firearm checkout. Automatic FFL's Shopify app is for ammunition only. [S14]
  • You want the most WordPress.org social proof: g-FFL Checkout has 700+ active installs and four 5-star reviews; FFL Checkout by TTG has five 5-star reviews. [S16][S20] FFL Bridge is not on WordPress.org yet.
  • You need mixed-cart handling, ammunition state rules or state license capture: Automatic FFL and g-FFL Checkout publicly document these; CloudFFL documents ammunition rules. [S12][S16][S23] FFL Bridge does not list these features.
  • You want dealer license copies attached to orders automatically: Automatic FFL (certificate network), g-FFL Checkout (signed FFLs on file) and TTG (FFL attached to every order) describe this. [S12][S17][S20] FFL Bridge records transfer confirmation and an optional license file uploaded by your staff. [S4]
  • You want a flat yearly price with unlimited queries: FFL Checkout by TTG at $99.90 per site per year. [S20]
  • You want to block specific dealers or big-box chains: Automatic FFL, g-FFL Checkout and CloudFFL publicly document dealer exclusion. [S13][S17][S22]
  • You want clearly labeled dealer status in checkout: FFL Bridge labels each dealer as "Confirmed transfer dealer", "License not verified" or "Transfer not confirmed", starts new installs in Hybrid, and offers a Confirmed dealers only mode. [S4]

Whatever you choose, test on a staging site and confirm dealer and shipping requirements yourself. No checkout plugin replaces your own compliance review, and this page is not legal advice.

Frequently asked questions

Which WooCommerce FFL plugin has a free plan?

As of October 17, 2026, FFL Bridge is the only one of these five whose public pricing lists an ongoing $0 plan: 100 API calls per day, hard stop, no card. Automatic FFL and CloudFFL offer free trials; g-FFL Checkout and TTG do not state a free plan. [S1][S11][S22][S19][S20]

Do these plugins support the WooCommerce Checkout Block?

Yes. All five vendors state support for both classic WooCommerce checkout and the block-based checkout. [S4][S12][S16][S20][S23]

Is FFL Bridge on WordPress.org?

Not yet. Install FFL Bridge for WooCommerce by downloading the ZIP from fflbridge.com, then in WordPress go to Plugins > Add New Plugin > Upload Plugin. The download page publishes the file's SHA-256 checksum. [S3]

Which of these work on Shopify or BigCommerce?

Automatic FFL lists BigCommerce, Adobe Commerce/Magento, OroCommerce and a Shopify app that covers ammunition only. g-FFL Checkout and CloudFFL offer BigCommerce. FFL Bridge has no Shopify or BigCommerce app; custom storefronts can use its API, or its widget where the platform allows custom JavaScript. [S11][S14][S18][S26][S6]

What are FFL Bridge's Hybrid and Confirmed dealers only modes?

Hybrid is the default for new installs of the FFL Bridge plugin. In Hybrid mode, dealers in FFL Bridge's verified checkout network are listed first as "Confirmed transfer dealer", and other nearby ATF-listed dealers can also be selected with a "License not verified" or "Transfer not confirmed" label; the shopper then gets instructions to confirm the transfer and have a license copy sent to the store. In Confirmed dealers only mode, only verified network dealers can be selected. Dealers that have told FFL Bridge they do not accept transfers are never shown. Existing installs keep their saved setting and see an offer to switch. [S4]

Can I hide specific dealers from checkout?

Automatic FFL, g-FFL Checkout and CloudFFL publicly document dealer exclusion or blocklists. FFL Bridge lets a store list preferred dealers first and offers a Confirmed dealers only mode, but does not publicly list a per-dealer exclusion setting. [S13][S17][S22][S4]

How much does each plugin cost?

FFL Bridge: Free, then $15, $49 or $99 per month plus $0.005 per call over the daily allowance on server keys. Automatic FFL: from $99 per site per month. g-FFL Checkout: $15.99 per month for WooCommerce. FFL Checkout by TTG: $99.90 per site per year. CloudFFL: $29 per month for 100,000 API calls. Prices as published on October 17, 2026. [S1][S11][S19][S20][S22]

Does an FFL checkout plugin make my store compliant?

No plugin guarantees compliance. FFL Bridge's own readme says dealer results and labels "are not legal advice" and that you must confirm the receiving dealer and every applicable requirement before shipment. Ask your own counsel about your obligations. [S4]
